Well, we tried! Thank you! We had over 20 volunteers out there raking the fields and getting them ready for the games. We were only delayed by a half hour. I wish I knew everyone's names so I could thank them - but I missed out... I do know it wouldn't be possible at all without our "Field Fairies" - Chris Morgan and Rick Picciano who are out there every week prepping the fields. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans. I swear it wasn't supposed to rain today! I am so sorry everyone came out, worked so hard, and then we had to call the games. A HUGE thank you to everyone that came out and worked on the fields, parents who braved the rain, and the players out there playing in the rain. I hope by now you are all dry and warm! The games scheduled for today will be rescheduled for a later time if the schedule permits - we will try to get them in before the end of the season. The Mom's game will be played next Saturday. Forecast is showing sunny and 88 for next Saturday - perfect kickball weather! We will send out a new schedule for next Saturday's games as soon as possible. If you were registered for the Mom's game, you can pick up your shirt at the concession stand on Friday or Saturday. We gave out some shirts and meal/snack coupons today - please hang on to those meal/snack coupons! They will be good next Saturday only during our Mom's Cookout. Yummy burgers and hot dogs will be grilled and meals will be $5 for non- Mom's games participants. All funds raised that day will go toward our college scholarships we are giving out this year - please help support our graduating seniors that have played in our league for many years. If you would like to add your voice to our board of directors and help make next year a great experience for our players, please fill out our nomination form. You may nominate yourself, or someone you think would be a good addition. We are always looking for talented, dedicated people to help us create a terrific youth sports experience for our players. We are especially in need of people willing to do our "advertising" positions - it's important that we get the word out that we have a fun league for girls! We actually need several people to fill this position. Forms are due by May 25th. All Star Try Outs - May 20th JR - 2pm SR - 3pm TN - 4pm If your player absolutely can't make it on May 20th, we can do an individual try out after games between now and May 20th. Please email netkickball@gmail.com to arrange a time for an individual try out. The tournament is held in Brownsville this year over the July 4th holiday. Closing Ceremonies - June 9th We have a fun day planned to end our season on a high note! Bounce houses, water slides, silent auction, raffles and a 50/50 drawing. Please keep that date free so you can join in the fun! We are also looking for donations of items for the silent auction and raffle. Field Markers We need help with marking the fields before games. Come out prior to the scrimmages on Thursday and Friday to learn how. We’ll also offer "on the job training” throughout the season. It would be great if teams supplied 2-3 helpers to mark the fields.
Order Your Pictures Once again Stewart Johnson will be taking our team photographs. He did a great job last year! Not only did he take great team and individual photos, but he also took stunning action shots. Stewart is now part of Rex Teter Photography in Southlake with a studio location so that pictures can be picked up during business hours if needed.
Pre-Orders are now being taken on the Rex Teter website for the team/individual pictures. All Pre-orders will receive a 5% discount (packages are discounted from the individual prices as well). Pre-Orders must be ordered by April 14th to receive the discount.
We hope to have the pictures taken around March 31st and back to you much earlier than last year. All Pre-Orders will be delivered to coaches at the fields.
If you miss the pre-order, you can still order online and pick up for free at the studio, or have them mailed to you for $5. You can also order action shots - these are truly the best action shots I've seen of kickball!
So go visit the Kickball Order website today! Email Tip! NET Kickball has been using Sports SignUp as our online team management tool. One of the features is the ability to send email to the team.
If your coach is sending emails, but you haven't received one there are two possibilities - first, check your spam folder. If it's hiding out in your spam folder, be sure to mark it as "not spam" and add the sender to your address book. (Add netkickball@gmail.com to your address book as well - official league emails come from that address). If it's not in your spam folder, then you may not be set up in the system. It's easy to get added. Go to http://ntlmk.sportssignup.com and login with the same information you used to register your player. Then you can edit your account to add additional adults or optional emails to the existing adults. While you are in your account make sure you have not opted out of emails.
The system will send an email to every email address on your account.
Sponsors The easiest way to get your sponsor submitted is through the Online Team Management Tool. Any adult can click the blue Register Now by their name and choose the 2012 Sponsor link. Fill out the form, and choose "Pay by Check" if the business will be giving them a check, or you can pay by credit card. A business can also register without a player and do the sponsor option to pay by credit card as well. Or, you can download a sponsorship form - fill it out, get a check from the business and turn it in to Jennifer Woogk, League Treasurer. All teams must have a sponsor in order to order uniforms. Team Rosters Have you visited our Online Team Management Tool? Click Here - Sign into your account (the same one you used to register) and click the name of the team next to your player to see roster and practice schedules. Coaches Corner Coaches - we need you to register on this website - Click Here - send netkickball@gmail.com an email and request coach access. Once you have done that you will be able to access our Coaches Corner which will have more information, as well as be able to turn in your uniform order. Don't forget to sign into our Online Team Management Tool to access your roster with all the player details. Parking at Foster Village Park Please help us be good neighbors to the homeowners next to our fields. It is fine to park on the field side of Village Park drive, however, we have been asked to not park on Green Acres. There are parking lots next to Starnes - by the field and the house, and lots by the concession stand and the tennis courts. In the case all of the parking lots are full, you may park on the side streets, but you must not block driveways and be at least 15 feet away from mail boxes and stop signs. Again we have been asked by the city to not park on Green Acres. The police have come out on a few occasions and parents and fans have been asked to move their cars. To avoid this, please park in the parking lots or make sure you are legally parked on the side streets. We want everyone to be able to enjoy a day of kickball at the park and avoid being ticketed. Youth sports league for girls ages 4-18. Fun competitive youth sports league in Keller, Watauga, North Richland Hills, Richland Hills, Saginaw, Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Grapevine. Play Kickball with girls ages 4-18. Our youth sports league starts registration in December through February. We are a fun recreational youth sports league for girls serving Keller, Watauga, North Richland Hills, Haltom City, Saginaw, Fort Woroth, Southlake, Grapevine, Hurst, Euless, and Bedford and all parts of Tarrant County.
